Winter Weather Statement:

While ERCOT is reporting projected ample supplies of electricity for the upcoming days, your cooperative is closely monitoring the forecasted winter weather event and is taking steps to help ensure reliability and safety for our member/consumers. The cooperative has greatly improved its load shed process in the event that a curtailment is ordered by ERCOT. In the event of rolling blackouts, the cooperative will use every available option to keep outages to a duration of 20 to 30 minutes depending on the nature of the instruction from ERCOT. The cooperative will use Facebook to keep our members updated as to any events that may be called so our members may have ample time to prepare for rolling outages. We will also use our outage app to indicate the areas of rolling blackouts with anticipated restoration times. Please remember that wind and cold temperatures may play a large role in unplanned outages as the weather event moves in so please call our office or use the WEC app to report any outages as the event progresses. Wise EC hopes everyone stays safe during the next few days and remember to visit our website (www.wiseec.com), download our app, or monitor Facebook for further information.
